General Altimax RT43 Tire Review

The General Altimax RT43 Tire is replaced its previous model Altimax RT with some exciting upgrades and toughness. Like it’s the previous model Altimax RT43 is designed to give all-season traction, handling, comfortable ride, and extended tread life for drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans, and crossovers.

It combines a high-tech twin cushion silica tread compound and symmetric tread pattern with anti-slip sipe design technology for good traction on a wet and dry surface, allowing the tire to give enhanced ride comfort.

Altimax RT43 comes with four additional circumferential grooves and additional sipes around the tread, allowing the tire to give extra grip on the light snow-covered road surface and increased performance on a wet surface.

For steering stability and response, the tire has continuous center ribs. At the same time, unique acoustic modulation sound technology suppresses sound waves for lower road noise and better ride quality.

The tire builds with two steel belts with a polyester cord body that allows a tire to give extra strength and durability, as well as additional ride comfort. Warranty

General Tire warrants the RT43 for six years or 75,000 miles. Mileage for rear tires is reduced by half if sized differently than the fronts. Tire uniformity is guaranteed for the first year or first 2/32 inches of wear.

Materials and workmanship are warranted for six years and include free replacement during the first year or first 2/32 inch of wear. A prorated amount is given for the remaining period or down to the final 2/32 inch tread depth.

General also provides a 45-day customer satisfaction trial where you can exchange the tire for another General brand if you are not completely satisfied.

Overall Thoughts

The General Altimax RT43 is competing with competitors such as the Continental True Contact and Michelin Defender T+H, among others, and it is the best among them considering the price. It will not disappoint you in terms of performance.

All-season tire provides good traction and handling on wet, dry, and snowy surfaces. And also provide a comfortable ride on all type of road, but the worst of the road surface and steering response is the best in this class. Tire stability is excellent throughout the speed range. With the help of a twin cushion tread compound, the tire has minimal noise; that’s great to me, considering the price.

Winter traction is excellent in light to moderate snow, as well as on lighter amounts of ice. And it has a more excellent tread life with a 75,000-mile tread guarantee. Overall, the Altimax RT43 is among the best all-season that you can buy on the market today.
